주택이 미술관이 될 수는 없을까? 새로운 영감을 갈망하는 예술가를 위해 주거 공간을 미술관처럼 설계하는 건 어떨까. 이 주택은 건물의 안과 밖에 열린 공간이 생기는 ‘ㅁ’ 형태로, 주거 공간을 2층에 배치하여 과감히 띄운다. 1층은 작업 공간으로, 세 면을 유리로 둘러싸 2층이 마치 공중에 떠 있는 듯한 느낌을 준다. 이로써 주택과 미술관의 경계를 흐리는, 독특하고도 모호한 분위기를 자아낸다.
Can a house be like an art gallery? Imagine designing a home for an artist seeking constant inspiration, with the concept of a gallery in mind. This house features an open courtyard within its structure, creating a unique “loop” shape. The living space is elevated entirely to the second floor, while the ground floor serves as a studio, wrapped in glass on three sides to give it a floating effect. This creates an intriguing and ambiguous atmosphere that blurs the line between house and art gallery.
